One of our key goals is to provide members with opportunities to learn from skilled instructors, who can teach folks to use the capacity of the makerspace to its fullest extent. Throwing 101 

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to throw pottery on the wheel?

Come find out with us! In this class you will learn tools, techniques and safety procedures to ensure you have the best understanding of contemporary pottery. Demonstrations for all basic forms of pottery will be given including mugs, bowls, planters, dishes, and vases. 

Each class includes 8 hours of instruction spread out over 4 weeks. In addition to instruction you will also have access to the building during normal business hours to practice techniques and familiarize yourself with the studio.

New class cycles beginning regularly and running for four weeks. Noon – 2pm on Saturdays.

Pottery classes are $250, for 8 hours of instructional sessions (and this cost includes a one month Makerspace membership, and the clay required for the class).

4 Weekly 2-hour classes, with 4 students per class.

This is the prerequisite class for Throwing 102.

Throwing 102

This is the follow-up class to Throwing 101. In this class you will expand your knowledge of tools, techniques and safety procedures to ensure you have the best understanding of contemporary pottery. Demonstrations for all basic forms of pottery will be given including mugs, bowls, planters, dishes, and vases. Each class includes 8 hours of instruction spread out over 4 weeks. In addition to instruction you will also have access to the building during normal business hours to practice techniques and familiarize yourself with the studio.

New class cycles beginning regularly and running for four weeks. 6pm – 8pm on Fridays.
